Wyboston Lakes Resort
Wyboston Lakes LTD
Wyboston Lakes Resort is proud to champion sustainability, embedding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into every facet of its operations. Nestled within 380 acres of rewilded landscape, our resort is a model of how businesses can balance exceptional service with meaningful environmental and social impact.
In 2023/24 we made significant strides toward achieving Net Zero for Scopes 1 and 2 by 2027 through our £5 million Green Energy Roadmap. Key milestones include the installation of 3,200 solar panels generating 1.4 MWh annually, along with groundbreaking plans for wind turbines and battery storage. Complementing these efforts, we maintained our zero-to-landfill policy for nine consecutive years and converted 73 tonnes of food waste into nutrient-rich compost through innovative biodigesters.
Our Room2Grow initiative exemplifies our commitment to community and biodiversity, with guests contributing to the planting of 60,000 trees on-site. Partnerships with the Wildlife Trust and local suppliers further highlight our dedication to regional economic growth and environmental preservation.
Social responsibility remains central to our ethos. In 2024, we trained 116 team members through our Wyboston Walkways program, hosted free “Tea & Therapy” days for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, and spent over £2million with local suppliers to strengthen the community.
Recognised for our efforts with SBTi certification and inclusion in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, Wyboston Lakes Resort continues to lead by example, delivering outstanding event experiences while championing sustainability. Our journey demonstrates that businesses can thrive while making a lasting, positive impact on people, the planet, and prosperity.
