MEET YOUR CHAIR JUDGE

I'm delighted to be chairing the Impact Awards, which aim to celebrate the strides being made in sustainable practices across the industry, recognising the hard work and commitment of event professionals who are driving genuine change in their events. C&IT takes their role in this movement seriously and has been making considerable progress, which brings an authentic depth to the awards and their criteria, and I’m pleased to be playing a part.

Our expert judging panels will consist of numerous industry professionals representing the full breadth of the MICE industry.

 The judges are selected based on their expertise, experience and integrity and we pride ourselves on our rigorous and objective judging process.

Nominations to get involved are welcome from across the sector, either for yourself or a colleague using the link below. The final judging panel will be comprised of an inclusive range of individuals to fully represent the industry. Our aim is to give as many diverse voices (women, BAME, LGBTQ+, different ages / seniority, people with disabilities) a chance to determine the results of this industry-leading event.

A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

C&IT is proud to debut our Impact Awards for 2025. We are the first industry publication to recognise the need for a dedicated focus to celebrate and recognise the groundbreaking and vital work that is being done to champion sustainability in events.

There is so much fantastic work being done that needs to be shouted about and events of the future should-and must- be led by their focus on people and planet, not profit.
I cannot wait to see your entries and celebrate the trailblazers and the visionaries together!
The Impact Awards will mean that climate impact will no longer be an afterthought or small inclusion within wider event awards ceremonies. We are inviting any companies working in the events space to put themselves forward for recognition based on their inherent culture of sustainability and how they are journeying towards net zero goals.
