MEET YOUR CHAIR JUDGE

I'm delighted to be chairing the Impact Awards, which aim to celebrate the strides being made in sustainable practices across the industry, recognising the hard work and commitment of event professionals who are driving genuine change in their events. C&IT takes their role in this movement seriously and has been making considerable progress, which brings an authentic depth to the awards and their criteria, and I’m pleased to be playing a part.

A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

C&IT is proud to debut our all new Impact Awards for 2025. We are the first industry publication to recognise the need for a dedicated set of accolades to recognise and celebrate the groundbreaking and vital work that is being done to champion sustainability in the MICE sector.

The C&IT Impact Awards reflect the fact that the climate impact can no longer be an afterthought or a secondary concern for event planners and suppliers. We are inviting any companies working in the events space to put themselves forward for recognition based on the progress of their journey towards net zero goals, and the ways in which they are embedding a culture of sustainability within their events.

We're not expecting you to have solved climate change, or to be the perfect B Corp; if you're proud of the progress that you've made towards cleaner and greener events, then we want to hear about it, regardless of how far you are in your journey. There is already so much fantastic work that deserves to be highlighted, showing that events of the future should - and must - be led by their focus on people and planet, not profit.
