Church House, Westminster

Church House, Westminster

Church House, Westminster is a unique, Grade II listed, multi-purpose events centre in the heart of London. Just a stone’s throw from some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, and with stunning views of Westminster Abbey, the venue hosts more than 800 events each year. This includes everything from conferences and product launches to drinks receptions and photoshoots.

Accommodating up to 664 guests, Church House is home to 19 dynamic and flexible events spaces, expertly managed by inhouse event and production teams. Taking the time to get to know clients, and believing each one deserves a truly personalised experience, the award-winning venue builds relationships based on trust, transparency and understanding, and provides a second-to-none service which sees clients return time and again.

Demonstrating how a historic building can play a leading role in the event industry’s sustainability transition, Church House became a net zero venue in 2024, a phenomenal six years ahead of its 2030 target.

Its recent carbon-negative refurbishment sequestered 1,260 tonnes of CO2 (equivalent to 1,067 return flights from London to New York). Innovative initiatives included, amongst many others, redecorating rooms with carbon-absorbing paint (the first Grade II listed venue to do so); installing energy-efficient spray cork insulation; utilising clay plaster as an alternative to cement; and fitting waterless urinals. The venue is a pilot member of the Westminster and Victoria District Energy Heat Network which will use heat from the tube and River Thames to heat buildings, and has partnered with Event Decision to empower clients to track their carbon footprint.

Once a base for Prime Minister Winston Churchill and the Houses of Parliament during World War Two, but now a hub of state-of-the-art facilities, out-of-the-box ideas, and a compassionate and dedicated team, Church House, which opened in 1940, is the perfect blend of history and modernity.
