London & Partners is the growth agency for London. Our mission is to create economic growth which is resilient, sustainable and inclusive across all of our workstreams including Grow London, Grow London Global, Grow London Local, Business Tourism, Major Events and Leisure Tourism.

It is important that Environmental Social and Governance ( ESG) runs through the organisation, but also that we encourage and lead our various B2B and B2C audiences to make changes, and better choices so that together we are stronger.

In the last year we have seen significant growth in our headcount and activity as we incorporated two more workstreams into our organisation from the Greater London Authority ( GLA), however, despite this, our carbon footprint per head has fallen by 8%. We believe this is due to four main factors:

1. Moving to 100% REGO-certified renewable energy

2. Improved commuting patterns and flexible working where our staff are encouraged to travel into the office two days per week, working remotely for the rest of the week. This hybrid balanced approach means people can also fit more into their lives and feel happier.

3. Internal adoption of better policies aimed at reductions and better planning for travel and events

4. More targeted approach in our major ‘Let’s Do London campaign’

We are very aware that there is still much to do, but feel that we have a plan of action to work through in order to create further improvements. It is vital that we keep a balance between our work with clients and stakeholders and our own net zero journey as both are equally important. Learning from other similar organisations is also something we are keen to do more of, time allowing, as this topic should not be competitive but best practice shared for the good of all.
